First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This early-phase study tested whether a focused ultrasound device can safely and temporarily open the blood-brain barrier in 28 adults with recurrent glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer. The goal was to allow the chemotherapy drug carboplatin to better reach the tumor. The study focused on safety and imaging results, not on curing the disease.
