Zap the ankle, ease the bladder? new MS study tests simple device

NCT ID NCT04573673

Summary

This study is testing whether a simple, non-invasive device that stimulates a nerve near the ankle can help people with multiple sclerosis (MS) empty their bladders more effectively. Participants, who currently need to use a catheter to urinate, will use the device daily for 12 weeks to see if it improves bladder function and reduces their need for catheterization. The goal is to find a safe, at-home treatment to manage this common and disruptive MS symptom.
