Bladder cancer surgery showdown: do stents and bowel drugs really help?

Summary
This study looks at two common choices during bladder cancer surgery: using a ureteral stent (a tube to drain urine) and giving a drug called alvimopan to help the bowels work sooner. About 530 adults having their bladder removed will be randomly assigned to get one or both options, or not. The goal is to see if these choices lead to shorter hospital stays or fewer urinary tract infections.
