First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special type of PET/MR scan can accurately detect if bladder cancer has been completely eliminated by chemotherapy. 13 adults with muscle-invasive bladder cancer were scanned after chemotherapy, and the results were compared to tissue removed during surgery. The goal was to see if the scan could identify patients who might safely avoid bladder removal.
