This study is looking for early warning signs in the blood that could predict chronic heart failure in people with type 2 diabetes. Researchers will follow 500 adults over age 50 with type 2 diabetes, but no history of heart problems. They will use blood tests and heart ultrasounds to see if certain biomarkers can spot heart failure risk before symptoms appear.
