First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at two substances (Neurokinin A and MMP-9) in the fluid around teeth to see if they can help diagnose a painful tooth condition called irreversible pulpitis with apical periodontitis. Researchers will compare levels in 23 adults with painful teeth to their healthy teeth. The goal is to find a more accurate way to diagnose this condition and understand how pain severity relates to these biomarkers.
