Mind over breath: can learning to control your body ease unexplained breathing problems?
NCT ID NCT05973513
Summary
This study is testing whether a six-session biofeedback training program can help adults with persistent shortness of breath that hasn't improved with standard medical treatments like inhalers. Participants learn techniques to control their heart rate, breathing, and body temperature to potentially reduce their physical symptoms and improve their mental health and quality of life. The researchers will measure changes in symptoms, anxiety, depression, and healthcare use after the program and three months later.
