Mind over breath: UCLA tests biofeedback for stubborn respiratory symptoms

NCT ID NCT05973513

Summary

This study is testing whether a six-session biofeedback training program can help people with persistent shortness of breath that hasn't improved with standard medical care. The program teaches participants techniques to control their breathing, heart rate, and body temperature to reduce symptoms. Researchers will measure changes in breathing difficulty, anxiety, depression, and quality of life before, after, and three months following the training.
