Generic Blood-Clotting drug put to the test in healthy volunteers
NCT ID NCT06768619
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study checked if a generic version of eltrombopag (a drug that helps increase blood platelets) works the same as the brand-name drug in healthy adults after eating. Thirty-six healthy Chinese volunteers took both versions at different times to compare how their bodies absorbed the medicine. The goal was to make sure the generic is just as safe and effective, providing a more affordable option for people with low platelet counts.
