First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study checked if a new generic pill containing three diabetes medicines (empagliflozin, linagliptin, and metformin) works the same as the brand-name pill Trijardy XR. Fourteen healthy adults took a single dose of each pill in random order. Researchers measured drug levels in the blood to see if the generic version is a suitable alternative for managing type 2 diabetes.
