New combo aims to shield scarred lungs from radiation damage

Summary
This study tests whether adding BIO 300 to standard chest radiation can prevent severe lung inflammation (pneumonitis) in people with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer who also have interstitial lung disease (lung scarring). About 25 adults will receive the combination and be monitored for side effects and cancer control. The goal is to make treatment safer for this high-risk group.
