First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at 121 people with blocked bile ducts (from benign or malignant causes) to compare how two drainage procedures affect quality of life. One method uses an endoscope through the mouth (ERCP), the other uses a needle through the skin (PTBD). Researchers measured changes in mobility, pain, anxiety, and daily activities to see which approach leads to better well-being.
