Summary
This study looks at whether weight loss from Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) surgery changes bile acids differently than weight loss from cutting calories alone. Researchers will measure bile acid levels in stool samples from 21 adults with severe obesity. The goal is to understand the body's response to different weight loss methods, not to test a treatment.
