First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether giving a numbing injection around both eyes (called a bilateral peribulbar block) is safe and works well for cataract surgery. Fifty adults having cataract surgery received the injection, and researchers measured their pain during the procedure and how satisfied they were afterward. The goal was to see if this approach provides good pain control and comfort for patients.
