New hope for tiniest eyes: gentler doses tested for blinding infant condition
NCT ID NCT04634578
Summary
This study is testing whether lower doses of a medicine called bevacizumab can safely and effectively treat a severe eye disease in premature babies. The disease, called retinopathy of prematurity, can cause blindness if not controlled. Researchers are comparing two low-dose injections to see which works best to stop the abnormal blood vessel growth and allow normal eye development.
