New PET scan aims to solve cancer vs. inflammation puzzle after radiation

Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET scan to see if it can tell the difference between leftover cancer and swelling caused by radiation in people treated for head and neck cancer. About 180 adults who finished radiation therapy will get this special scan 3 months after treatment. The goal is to improve how doctors decide if more treatment is needed.
