Blood and urine tests aim to spot hidden bladder cancer before major surgery
NCT ID NCT06396533
Summary
This study is testing whether a combination of blood tests, urine tests, and a thorough bladder exam can better identify if muscle-invasive bladder cancer is still present before a patient has their bladder surgically removed. Researchers will enroll 92 patients with bladder cancer who are scheduled for this surgery. They will compare the test results before surgery with what is actually found in the bladder after it is removed, to see how accurate the new testing method is.
