First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 37 times

Summary

This study looked at whether certain proteins, called beta-arrestins, can help predict how well people with major depression will respond to the antidepressant venlafaxine. Researchers measured these proteins in 67 patients before and during treatment, and compared them to healthy volunteers. The goal was to find a biological marker that could guide more personalized depression treatment.
