Doctors seek best tool for safer breathing tube insertion
NCT ID NCT06232837
Summary
This study aimed to find out which size of a curved metal blade (size 3 or 4) helps doctors most successfully insert a breathing tube on the first try during surgery. Researchers observed over 3,000 adult patients in French operating rooms to see which blade led to fewer complications and a better view of the throat. The goal was to gather real-world data to improve this common medical procedure.
