New hope for veterans: simple Goal-Setting therapy fights brain injury depression

NCT ID NCT04976621

Summary

This study tested whether a therapy called Behavioral Activation could help veterans with depression following a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Forty-six veterans received either their usual care or usual care plus six therapy sessions focused on setting goals and doing meaningful activities. Researchers wanted to see if this approach was practical and acceptable, and if it could reduce depression symptoms and improve life quality.
