First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study tests whether a type of talk therapy called Behavioral Activation, delivered via video calls at home, can improve social and daily functioning in veterans recently discharged from the hospital for heart problems. About 132 veterans with depression will receive either 12 therapy sessions or standard post-discharge care. Researchers will check their mood, activity levels, and whether they need to be readmitted to the hospital over 9 months.
