New program aims to help kids with diabetes think and behave better
NCT ID NCT06488469
Summary
This study is testing a new support program for children with type 1 diabetes who have a dangerous condition called hypoglycemia unawareness, where they don't feel the usual warning signs of low blood sugar. The program combines therapy for the child, diet advice, and counseling for parents to see if it can improve the child's behavior, mood, and thinking skills. Researchers will compare 50 children who get this extra support to those who receive standard diabetes care alone.
