New program aims to sharpen minds and calm behavior in kids with diabetes
NCT ID NCT06488469
Summary
This small pilot study will test a 6-month support program for children with type 1 diabetes who have 'hypoglycemia unawareness,' meaning they don't feel the usual warning signs of low blood sugar. The program combines child therapy, diet advice, and parent coaching. Researchers want to see if this multi-part approach can improve the children's behavior, mood, and thinking skills like memory and learning.
