First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Researchers measured changes in binge eating episodes and diabetes severity.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- cognitive behavioral therapy (group sessions)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this approach could offer a way to reduce binge eating and improve diabetes management in people with both conditions.
- What could go wrong
- This was a small, completed study with only 34 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The waitlist design also limits what can be concluded.
