BCAA study reveals muscle and sugar secrets in healthy volunteers
NCT ID NCT06218264
First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at how branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) help build muscle and control blood sugar in 24 healthy young adults. Participants drank a mix of amino acids, with or without BCAAs, and researchers measured muscle protein growth and insulin sensitivity. The goal was to understand the role of BCAAs in these processes, not to treat any disease.
