Drug trial aims to block path to esophageal cancer

Summary
This study is testing if a drug called obeticholic acid can prevent Barrett's esophagus from turning into cancer. It will involve 30 adults with Barrett's esophagus who will take either the drug or a placebo pill daily for six months. The main goal is to see if the drug reduces certain cells in the esophagus that are linked to cancer development.
