First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This pilot study will test whether banana leaves can be used as a primary dressing for partial-thickness burns (second-degree burns). About 30 adults with small burns will receive banana leaf dressings, and their pain, healing time, and need for painkillers will be compared to past patients. The goal is to see if this natural, low-cost option can reduce pain and improve recovery.
