NCT ID NCT06371612
First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looked at two simple ways to help children aged 6-9 feel less pain and fear when a nurse removes their IV line. One method was having the child squeeze a ball as a distraction, and the other was using a silicone-based spray to gently remove the sticky tape. The goal was to find which approach works better for making this common hospital procedure less stressful for kids.
