New training cuts stroke fall risk while sharpening the mind

NCT ID NCT07328867

Summary

This study tested a special exercise program designed to help people who have had a stroke. It combined balance training that mimics real-life stumbles with mental tasks done at the same time. The goal was to see if this approach improves both physical balance and thinking skills better than balance training alone. Thirty-three participants with chronic stroke completed the 6-week program.
