Ancient chinese exercise meets modern strength training to ease back pain in seniors

Summary
This study tests a combined program of Baduanjin (a gentle Chinese mind-body exercise) and resistance training for elderly patients with osteoporosis and a herniated disc in the lower back. The goal is to reduce pain, improve muscle strength, and enhance quality of life. About 110 Chinese-speaking adults (women 45+, men 50+) who are scheduled for surgery will participate.
