Scientists film badminton pros to crack the code of the perfect smash
NCT ID NCT07442695
Summary
This study aimed to create a simple, video-based reference for coaches by measuring how elite badminton players move their joints during a powerful overhead smash. Researchers filmed four top Colombian athletes performing smashes and measured the angles of their knees, hips, shoulders, and elbows at key moments. The goal was to describe typical movement patterns and identify where players differ the most, providing useful feedback without needing complex lab equipment.
