Summary
This study tested a new, simple blood culture system called BactInsight to diagnose bacterial infections faster in West Africa. Over 1,700 participants provided blood samples, which were tested with the new system and compared to standard methods. The goal was to see if the new system could give quicker results, helping doctors use antibiotics more wisely and fight drug resistance.
