First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at why some people have more pain after colorectal surgery than others. Researchers will test pain sensitivity before surgery, check blood for inflammation markers, and ask about emotional health and life stress. The goal is to find better ways to manage pain for each patient. About 128 adults scheduled for colorectal cancer surgery will take part.
