NCT ID NCT06742853
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This early-stage study tested a new drug called AZD0780 in 81 healthy adults with high LDL (bad) cholesterol. Participants took AZD0780 or a placebo on top of standard cholesterol medicines like ezetimibe, rosuvastatin, or bempedoic acid. The main goals were to see how well the combination lowers cholesterol and whether it is safe. Since high cholesterol requires ongoing management, this is not a cure but a potential new treatment option.
