Summary
This study tested whether an Ayurvedic herbal supplement called Maharishi Amrit Kalash (MAK) could improve blood vessel function better than vitamins C+E or a placebo. It included 143 African American adults aged 55+ with heart disease or high risk. Researchers measured artery dilation and other heart health markers to see if the herb offered extra benefits.
