Summary
This completed trial enrolled 143 African American adults aged 55+ with documented coronary artery disease or high risk. It compared an Ayurvedic herbal supplement (Maharishi Amrit Kalash) to vitamins C+E and a placebo. The main goal was to see if the herb improved blood vessel flexibility and blood flow, measured by a non-invasive ultrasound test. Results aim to guide natural approaches for managing heart disease risk.
