New combo tackles both sides of rare blood disease

NCT ID NCT06327685

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether combining two drugs—avapritinib and decitabine—can safely control both parts of a rare blood cancer called systemic mastocytosis with an associated hematologic neoplasm (SM-AHN). About 34 adults with this condition will receive the combination to find the best dose and check for side effects. The goal is to improve disease control without causing too many extra side effects.
