MS study digs into hidden nerve damage that controls heartbeat and sweat

NCT ID NCT05748015

First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at how multiple sclerosis (MS) affects the autonomic nervous system—the part that controls things like heart rate, blood pressure, and sweating. Researchers will test 60 people with relapsing-remitting or primary progressive MS using simple physical challenges and skin biopsies. The goal is to better understand these hidden symptoms and how they relate to disease progression.
