First seen Dec 18, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested whether an automatic blood pressure machine (WatchBP Office) gives more accurate readings than traditional manual measurement in Chinese adults with high blood pressure. 149 participants had their blood pressure checked using both methods and a 48-hour monitor (the gold standard). The goal was to see if the automatic method better detects high blood pressure, masked hypertension, and white-coat hypertension.
