Robot pump vs. daily shots: which is better for kids with diabetes?

NCT ID NCT07423637

Summary

This study aims to find out if starting children with type 1 diabetes on an automated insulin pump system soon after diagnosis leads to better long-term health and is worth the cost. It will compare the pump system, which adjusts insulin automatically, to the standard treatment of multiple daily insulin injections. Researchers will follow 100 children aged 7-15 for several years to see which method better controls blood sugar, reduces diabetes-related stress, and lowers the risk of future complications.
