Robot pump vs. daily shots: which is better for kids with diabetes?

NCT ID NCT07423637

Summary

This study will compare two ways to manage type 1 diabetes in children aged 7-15 who were recently diagnosed. It will test if starting with an automated insulin pump system right away leads to better long-term blood sugar control and fewer diabetes-related health problems compared to the standard method of multiple daily insulin injections. The research will also check if the higher upfront cost of the pump system is worth it in the long run by potentially preventing expensive complications.
