First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study aims to understand the biological causes of autism by creating tiny, lab-grown organs called organoids from cells of people with autism. Researchers will compare organoids from children with autism, their siblings without autism, and their parents. The goal is to learn more about how autism develops, not to test a treatment.
