NCT ID NCT06777901
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests whether using a special device (Auryon Atherectomy System) along with standard balloon angioplasty is safer and more effective than balloon angioplasty alone for clearing blockages in the lower leg arteries. About 224 adults with severe limb-threatening blockages will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The main goal is to see if the combination treatment reduces the risk of death, amputation, or need for repeat procedures over one year.
