First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tested whether augmented reality (AR) can help surgeons during laparoscopic surgery for uterine fibroids or adenomyosis. AR overlays images from prior scans onto the live surgical view. 40 patients took part, and surgeons rated the AR system's ease of use and how well it helped them see the tumor.
