First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested whether augmented reality (AR) can help surgeons during laparoscopic surgery for benign uterine tumors like fibroids. Forty patients took part, and surgeons used a special AR device to overlay images from scans onto the live video feed. The main goal was to see if AR made surgery easier and improved tumor visibility.
