First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tested a device called Elevvo AudiStim that plays specific sounds during sleep to help improve memory in people with amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI), a condition that often leads to Alzheimer's. 37 adults aged 50-75 with aMCI took part. The goal was to see if the sound treatment could boost long-term memory compared to a placebo (sham) device.
