First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tested a device called Elevvo AudiStim that plays gentle sounds during sleep to help memory in people with amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI), a condition that often leads to Alzheimer's. 37 adults over age 50 with aMCI took part. The goal was to see if the device could improve long-term memory compared to a placebo. The treatment is non-invasive and aims to ease symptoms, not cure the disease.
