First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a home-based audio program of gut-directed hypnotherapy could help children aged 8-18 with irritable bowel syndrome or functional abdominal pain. The goal was to see if it could improve sleep quality and reduce belly pain. Participants either did the 6-week audio program or continued usual care first, then switched. The study measured sleep, pain, and daily function through online surveys.
