Pacemaker study aims to tame dangerous heart rhythms in congenital heart patients

Summary
This study looks at whether special pacemakers can safely and effectively stop rapid atrial arrhythmias in people with congenital heart disease. Researchers will review medical records from up to 300 patients over 5 years before and after pacemaker placement. The goal is to see which patient groups benefit most and how the therapy compares to medications or cardioversion.
