Can pacemakers tame dangerous heart rhythms in congenital heart patients?
NCT ID NCT03209583
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study examines whether special pacemakers that can deliver rapid pacing (anti-tachycardia pacing) effectively treat atrial arrhythmias in people with congenital heart disease. Researchers will review medical records from up to 300 patients over 5 years before and after pacemaker implantation. The goal is to see if this therapy reduces the need for cardioversion or medications, and to identify which patient groups benefit most.
